Something’s Rotten!

The album is officially here!

Our pride and joy, 13 tracks of nerdy heart and soul (and parts south)! The best stuff from the last year, all pretty and official. We’ve been playing a lot of these songs since Aim to Misbehave came out, so they’re well-rehearsed and honed to perfection. It’s nice to finally have studio versions of “The Girl Who Couldn’t Even”, “Smile!”, and “Nathan Fillion (Please Take Off Your Pants)” for the folks who’ve been asking for them. Plus, holy smokes how beautiful “Astronaut’s Hymn” came out with the beautiful strings from Sunnie Larsen. Christian finally got to play drums, and even though it’s only on two songs he’s never going to shut up about it. Fletcher Lanning added some lovely standup bass on “Far Away and Distant One” to make it all smoky!

First and foremost, thank you to all of our fans, who are the real reason we’re still doing this after five years. It’s your continuing support that allows us to make CDs, tshirts, and go on tours!

Kevin Hahn at Opal Studio was amaaaaaazing to work with, and got everything recorded in record (ha) time. It definitely helped that we were ready, but his professionalism made the whole experience smooth and fun. Watching him during the mastering process was like witnessing real magic.

Dylan Meconis’ cover art provides a perfect wrapper for the album, with a little whimsy and a little class!
